Beschreibung der Lehr- und Lernformen
Project Environmental Planning A/B applies Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approaches. The project work is carried out in the project group (plenary session) and small student groups. In the project setting, students engage in real-world socio-environmental problems (topics vary depending on the topical focus of the advising Research Group). Students independently plan, carry out, lead and communicate their project progress. The students develop and discuss content independently, while advisers provide feedback and supervision. Students will gain and/or deepen their competencies, such as project management, teamwork, and social and intercultural competence. The project results are documented, presented, and communicated following the rules for good academic practice. The (interim/final) work results are presented and discussed in plenary sessions, if suitable, on-site with cooperating partners and, finally, in a colloquium open to the university members.
Project work usually includes organising an excursion (calendar week 24 in the summer semester; calendar week 46 in the winter term). Each student needs to participate in at least one excursion lasting two days (content-related).
The projects are offered in English.
