Learning Outcomes

Qualification aim of this module is to impart methods for signal processing, image enhancement, feature extraction and grouping. The alumni have learned and practiced to use their skills in multifaceted application areas. The exploration of the relations between physical reality of the environment and data collected with imaging sensors are emphasized, mathematical modells are used for description.

Content

Physical basics, microwave systems, radar with synthetic aperture (SAR): application process, SAR-image generation, SAR-interferometry, coherence, differential SAR-interferometry, permanent scatterer analysis, SAR-polarimetry, scattering matrix, partial scatterer, decomposition theorems, entropy/alpha-classification, polarimetric SAR-interferometry, object extraction from SAR-data, sensor/ data fusion
