Beschreibung der Lehr- und Lernformen

In the Introductory Lecture, project topics will be presented by SNET research assistants. Upon admission, students work on their given project topic and produce software under supervision. Supervisors will support and guide their students in regular meetings. Project groups present the status of their software at both the Milestone Meeting and the Final Meeting. The software has to be demonstrated either live or in a video. The project has to be documented in a written project report at the end of the semester and has to be submitted a week after the Final Meeting.

Anmeldeformalitäten

Project topics will be communicated via the ISIS course page one or two weeks before the Introductory Lecture. After the first session in the first teaching week, students can apply via a survey on ISIS. This survey is needed as the course has a limit regarding the number of participants. Selection procedure is based on §48 Abs. 2-3 AllgStuPO. Once all project topics have been allocated, non-admitted students are added to the waiting list. The definitive course registration is available to admitted students only. Students might drop from the project before the definitive registration deadline, in which case students from the waiting list are admitted to their chosen project.

The Internet of Services Lab (Project) course is held in parallel with the similarly named Internet of Services Lab (Seminar) course. There is a separate admission procedure for each course. Students may be admitted to both the project and the seminar course simultaneously ─ in this case, students should apply for the Internet of Services Lab course with 12LP (this is also relevant for ISM students). The project can serve as the foundation for a Bachelor/Master thesis proposal.
