Learning Outcomes

Students have basic knowledge in computer game development and can put into practice the acquired knowledge and skills in programming and graphic design of computer games.

Content

This module provides an insight into the creation of computer games and current developments in this area. The participants develop game prototypes in small groups. Progress, difficulties and problems are presented and discussed at regular intervals.

Test description (Module completion)

In compliance with § 47 (2) AllgStuPO, the overall grade is calculated according to the scoring system 1 of the Faculty IV. Implementation, project documentation and talk can be carried out in German or English. 1. The students design their own game program according to a requirements specification. Each game program is then tested for its running capability and operability. 2. Project documentation: The students work on a selected question and summarize their findings, application methods and results in a written project documentation. 3. Talk: The students orally present their findings and the results of their project documentation and give oral replies to respective questions.
