Learning Outcomes

Students master the fundamentals of geometric modeling in computer graphics and know methods in geometry processing. They are able to implement these techniques to process geometric data.

Content

Modeling: Parametric curves and surfaces, implicit curves and surfaces. Triangle meshes: compression, simplification, multiresolution

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

The modul consists of a mixed teaching format including a lectures and tutorials. In the tutorials, both practical and theoretical exercises are performed.

Requirements for participation and examination

Desirable prerequisites for participation in the courses:

Knowledge of the master module Computer Graphics I is required. Desirable skills: algorithms and data structures, linear algebra.
