Learning Outcomes

ABILITIES: Participants jointly work on current research questions related to the sectors energy, transportation, water, and production, as well as other sectors where methods of Operations Research are applied. The core of the project is to tackle the problem at hand using methods of Operations Research. The required sectoral knowledge and methodological skills should be acquired in group work during the course. Some interdisciplinary projects will be closely coordinated with respective faculties and chairs to ease sectoral knowledge transfer. These chairs are then also involved in supervision and grading of the project. The output of the project is a project presentation, which will foster presentation and communication skills and a project report.

Content

The student research project covers a topic related to the sectors energy, transportation, water, and production, as well as other sectors where methods of Operations Research are applied.
