Learning Outcomes

The students have mastered all relevant aspects of exchange rate formation and dealing with foreign currency risks. They are capable of designing suitable hedging strategies for a range of risk situations, applying the necessary hedging tools. They have also gained the knowledge to examine the advantageousness of cross-border investments and to use futures trading to reduce finance-based false incentives.

Content

The teaching units on international finance management focus above all on shaping foreign currency management. The following specific issues are covered, among others: exchange rate formation, swap transactions, options, forwards and futures and the hedging strategies related to them.
