Grading scale

Test description (Module completion)

There are four midterm exams (formally: the exam is split in four parts), each of which counts 25% of the final grade and each of which lasts for 45 minutes. At the end of the semester, there is a final exam in which we offer questions for each of the four parts once again. This final exam lasts for 90 minutes, and every student is allowed to improve upon two of his or her midterm grades. For the final grade we count the better attempt of each of the four parts only. There is no punishment for a bad grade if the second attempt is better. It is therefore possible to skip up to two midterms if you do well in the corresponding questions in the final exam or to skip the final if you are satisfied with the grades you received in the midterms.
