Learning Outcomes

Students - will gain a deep understanding of the theory and methods of autonomous systems, - will be able to critically reflect the practical applicability of these theories and methods to concrete problem instances, - will have the capability to transfer the theory and practice of autonomous systems to new problems.

* Co-ordination of cooperative and self-interested agents. * Rational decision making for utility maximising agents based on individual preferences, rationality, welfare functions. * Cooperative Problem solving, auctions, voting, negotiations, coalition formation, fair division.

Test description (Module completion)

Homeworks are conducted by groups of 3-4 students. Assignments comprise analysis, design, implementation, experiments, scientific writing, and peer reviews. The oral exam is held as group examination. Participants prepare a short project proposal by applying lecture contents to an innovative application area. The group's presentation is followed by a discussion and individual consultations.
