Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

The students get a brief overview of the fundamentals and the recent developments in the area of the project. They work in small teams on a chosen topic, and they present its basics in an intermediate talk. Each team implements a recent research paper and presents insights, applications and results in a concluding talk.

Requirements for participation and examination

Desirable prerequisites for participation in the courses:

Basic knowledge of computer graphics is required, such as the contents of the master module Computer Graphics I. Knowledge in linear algebra, scientific computing, and algorithms/data structures is recommended.

Test description (Module completion)

In compliance with § 47 (2) AllgStuPO, the overall grade is calculated according to the scoring system 1 of the Faculty IV. Implementation, talks (interim and final presentations) and project documentation can be carried out in German or English. 1. Implementation: The students work on a selected question and develop a prototypical implementation based on their findings. 2. Tech-presentation: The students present a technical aspect of their work and give oral replies to respective questions. 3. Interim presentation: The students orally present their first findings and the interim results on their topic and give oral replies to respective questions. 4. Final presentation: The students orally present their final findings and the final results of their project documentation and give oral replies to respective questions. 5. Project documentation: The students summarize their final findings, application methods and final results in a written project documentation.
