Kursbeschreibung:

Communication plays a vital role in the success and failure of any organization. Especially for those with extensive global operations and great diversity in their workforce and of their customers. To support their communication processes and to increase their performances, organizations use various communication technologies and networks.

In this course, students learn about and discuss the influence of these media/technologies on communication and knowledge networks, specifically how technology changes the daily work of organizations, teams, and individuals. We look at different technologies’ impact on organizational communication and organizational forms. Furthermore, we discuss new challenges for organizational members as users of communication technologies in a global and diverse business environment.

The objective of this course is that students develop a better understanding how to communicate effectively in modern, mediated organizational settings.

The readings and class material on ISIS are in German or English. Assignments can be completed in both languages.
