In the past few decades China has developed into one of the most influential global powers. For Europe, China is an irreplaceable cooperation partners in many areas, but at the same time also a serious competitor and rival in other areas. Knowing the country and understanding the uniqueness the Chinese way is therefore becoming a crucial competence for all responsible actors in our society.

  • Frame work for sustainable development of a country
  • Where does China stand today
  • Uniqueness and historical context of the Chinese way
  • Interdependence relation of China with the Western countries
  • Impact of recent geo-political events
  • How sustainable is the Chinese way in the near future
  • Cases studies to be conducted by students in group work
