The seminar Planning as Political Process 2 is offered in Summer term 2023 in two different versions – respectively called Seminar A and Seminar B – with a different thematic focus. Both seminars are equivalent in terms of requirements, examination form and credits (as part of Module Planning Theory A).

Participants are asked to make their choice for either seminar before the first meeting, by enrolling and filling in the questionnaire in the dedicated ISIS course (see below). Participation in each seminar is limited to 30. Places in either seminar are assigned on a first come-first serve basis.

The seminar consists of:

  • lectures devoted to introducing the themes of the course, possibly including thematic guest-lectures;
  • colloquia, during which selected themes of the course are jointly discussed on the basis of the literature and/or of students’ research contributions;
  • thematic seminars for the presentation and discussion of students’ assignments.

Assessment and grading are based on portfolio examination, according to module description. Form and contents thereof are described in more detail in a document made available online before the beginning of the seminar, and are defined in agreement with the teacher at the beginning of the seminar. An additional individual consultation is possible if needed under discretion of the teacher.

Active participation to the seminar activities is required.

A detailed description of the seminar – including schedules, literature and seminar requirements – is made available on the dedicated ISIS course as well as on the website of the Chair of Planning Theory and Urban-Regional Policy Analysis before the start of the semester.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PARTICIPANTS:

To ensure the start of the seminar and an adequate communication on its requirements, all participants are to enroll to enroll and to fill in the questionnaire in the dedicated ISIS course, preferably before the first meeting – at the latest before the end of the first week of the summer term.

Access to registration through ISIS will be opened the week before the first online session. (Password protection will be activated after registration has been completed).
