- Classification of Mergers & Acquisitions as a possible instrument of an innovation strategy - Development of use cases, objectives; possibilities of a success measurement - Development of success factors vs. challenges/pitfalls in integration - Holistic assessment of innovation M&A projects (financial, technological, strategic, organizational, cultural) - Application to concrete case studies; own development of an innovation M&A investment pitch - Creation of a written argumentation on the practical relevance of conceptual work

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

On the basis of case studies, theory units, exercises and group work, the essential challenge of using M&A as an innovation strategy is discussed and learned. Lectures, exercises, discussions, individual work, presentations, formal peer reviews and feedback characterize this course.

Test description (Module completion)

The portfolio examination consists of the following elements, adding up to a maximum of 100 credits. The grading follows the joint conversion key of the School of Economics and Management (decision of the school's council dated May 28, 2014 - FKR VII-4/8-28.05.2014).
