Lernergebnisse

Students are introduced to the potential applications of reused and recycled materials for solving basic constructive tasks, they are familiar with the concept of life-cycle construction and the importance of reducing the resource footprint of the building sector. Students are familiar with some of the specific aesthetic, constructive, legislative and logistic considerations that architects face in using these materials to solve design tasks. Through the design and realisation of constructive prototypes as a group, students experience some of the scouting, harvesting, storage, preparation, transport and disposal processes central to successfully designing and realising resource adaptive construction concepts. The Module transfers primarily: Fachkompetenz 30% Methodenkompetenz 30% Systemkompetenz 30% Sozialkompetenz 10 %

Lehrinhalte

In the module, the following subject-specific contents will be taught: Introduction to the life-cycle considerations relating to the choice of building materials; basic familiarity with specific terminology, regulations and processes relating to the use of reused and recycled materials in construction, initial practical experience working with reused and recycled materials to construct protypes up to 1:1
