Lernergebnisse

After completing this moldule, the participants have gained practical experience in designing, implementing, and testing of applications for the internet of services within a small team and therefore gained significant knowledge and insights within the areas of mobile devices, communication and services, location-based services, cloud computing and digital communities. Furthermore, the participants have gained important knowledge of how to organize and realize IT projects, including controlling, reporting, planning, and communicating with external partners.

Lehrinhalte

Within this project, a confined task will be carried out in form of a small IT project. This comprises requirements analysis, literature research, design of an architecture, as well as the implementation, documentation, and presentation of the project. The topics can vary in each semester within the following groups of related subjects: - Location-based Services - Mobile Computing - Digital Communities - Cloud Computing - Web Services

Beschreibung der Lehr- und Lernformen

Depending on the topic, the project will be supervised by different SNET researchers. At the beginning of the semester, the participating students apply for one of the specific tasks, which will be announced at the beginning of the semester in the first lecture. The supervisor will conduct regular meetings with the students and provide supporting materials and tools. There is an intermediate and a final presentation of the project's results. The project has to be documented in a written project report, which has to be handed in at the end of the project.

Prüfungsbeschreibung (Abschluss des Moduls)

The method of examination is the portfolio exam ("Portfolioprüfung"). All in all 100 portfolio points can be achieved: * 2 x Practical implementation (25 portfolio points each) * Presentation (25 portfolio points) * Written report (25 portfolio points) The final grade under the terms of § 47 (2) AllgStuPO is calculated according to the grading scheme no. 2 of faculty IV.
