Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

The course ART I will be held as a weekly seminar where students learn the fundamentals and the state-of-art in recycling technologies. The presentation of actual research papers also illustrates the research perspective. Exercises show the practical application of various resource management tools, as well as the practical laboratory training exposes the students with the complexity of gaining empirical data for resource management. Two excursions is complementing the theoretical knowledge with a practical experience. In the course ART II, the student groups work on a practical semester project where they apply the methods and tools learned to linked to ongoing research projects. The students solve independently a research question on the basis of empirical data and research. The mid-term and final presentation practice competences and help to develop the project. During the semester, several seminars give input on experimental design, statistics and other data evaluation.
