Learning Outcomes

Content

Business Plan development in stages – (a) Idea generation – (b) Business concept development – (c) Business plan conceptualization – (d) Business Plan presentation. Business concept development is facilitated by a mix between input sessions with experts, interactive discussions and mentoring by faculty staff. In addition, principles from business ethics, IP Management, and market research are part of the curriculum and are thus incorporated into the learning process.

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

Das Modul beinhaltet folgende Lehrmethoden: - Vorlesungen von Lehrstuhlmitarbeitern - Interaktive Elemente wie Gruppendiskussionen, Plenar-Diskussionen und Gruppenpräsentationen im Plenum - Vorlesungen von externen Gästen (Praktiker) - Interaktive Teile mit Fragen und Antworten - Sitzungen mit Mentoren und Lehrstuhlmitarbeitern - Sprechstundentermine mit internen und externen Kursmitarbeitern VENTURE CAMPUS - ICT Innovation beginnt mit einführenden Vorlesungen, gefolgt von Ideenpräsentationen (entweder mit Postern, oder Kurzpräsentationen). Basierend auf den Präsentationen und den Anforderungen an die gesuchten Teammitglieder, werden Gruppen mit maximal 5 Mitgliedern gebildet. Bevorzugt werden interdisziplinäre Gruppen. VENTURE CAMPUS - ICT Innovation basiert hauptsächlich auf Projektarbeit, die zur Anfertigung eines Business Plans führt. VENTURE CAMPUS - ICT Innovation beinhaltet angewandten Vorlesungsstoff mit Input von Akademikern und Praktikern. Am Ende des Kurses präsentieren die Studierenden den erstellten Businessplan. Der Kurs endet mit Abschlusspräsentationen der Geschäftskonzepte vor einem Auditorium aus Kursteilnehmer/innen, Lehrstuhlmitarbeiter/innen und eingeladenen externen Gästen. Description of Teaching methods: The module features the following teaching methods: - Input sessions by internal staff - Interactive elements such as group discussions, plenary discussions and team presentations in the plenary - Input sessions by external experts (incl. practitioners) - Q&A sessions - Mentoring sessions with internal staff - Drop-in surgeries with internal and external experts VENTURE CAMPUS - ICT Innovation starts with an introductory session, followed by an idea presentation (either in sales pitch or in poster format). Based on the ideas and the team requirements presented, participants group around ideas and form teams of max. 5 people. The teams are multidisciplinary. VENTURE CAMPUS - ICT Innovation is mainly characterized by project work based on the stages of Business Plan creation. Project work is supported by mentors/ coaches. In addition, VENTURE CAMPUS - ICT Innovation includes applied lectures from both academics and practitioners. Towards the end of the course, the students are trained to present their Business Plans. The course ends with a Business Plan pitch to a combined audience of participants, internal staff, and a panel of external financiers.

Test description (Module completion)

Die Portfolioprüfung besteht aus den folgenden Elementen, in denen in der Summe maximal 100 Punkte erreicht werden können. Die Benotung erfolgt nach dem gemeinsamen Notenschlüssel der Fakultät VII (Beschluss des Fakultätsrates vom 28.05.2014 - FKR VII-4/8- 28.05.2014)./ The portfolio examination consists of the following elements, adding up to a maximum of 100 credits. The grading follows the joint conversion key of the School of Economics and Management (decision of the school's council dated May 28, 2014 - FKR VII-4/8- 28.05.2014).
