Learning Outcomes

The module consists of a one semester project in which the students will design, implement, test, and document an IT project for a university or public authority in Afghanistan according to the project plan.

Content

The students will conduct field work (e.g. interviews, observations, data collection, literature research). The project has to be demand-oriented according to the IT situation in higher education in Afghanistan.

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

The students will develop, implement, test, and document an IT system that is needed by an Afghan university or local authority. The design of the project will be intensively discussed with the lecturer. During the implementation phase the students remain in constant contact with the lecturer by reporting upon the current status and progress of the project. An extensive documentation of the IT system and of the project itself is to be handed in at the end of the semester.

Desirable prerequisites for participation in the courses:

Only scholarship holders of the CS Master's Program for Afghan Lecturers are enabled to enrol. Für diese Veranstaltung sind ausschließlich Stipendiaten des CS Masterprogramms für afghanische Dozenten zugelassen.
