Learning Outcomes

Graduates of this module are endued with competences in the following areas: services, protocols, and elements of infrastructures within classical wired and mobile circuit-switched telecommunication networks, 5th Generation Mobile Networks and Software-based networks.

Content

The module consists of one compulsory lecture that treats fundamental concepts, architectures, protocols and interfaces of current and future open services platforms – based on converging network technologies such as wireless and wired telecommunication networks, 5th Generation Mobile Networks and Software-based networks. Main topics are 5G, Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networks (SDN).
