Learning Outcomes

In this module students are introduced to special phenomena arising from the interconnection of continuous and discrete event components in so called hybrid systems. They learn how to analyse such systems and get an overview of existing controller synthesis techniques.

Content

Introduction and motivation, chaos in hybrid systems, Zeno effect, hybrid automata, switched linear systems, introduction to behavioural systems theory, abstraction based controller synthesis, l-complete approximation.
