Learning Outcomes

This class teaches in-depth knowledge in - using, - planning - developing agent based transport simulations based on MATSim (www.matsim.org). Students will be able to use Java Inject syntax, use version control (git) and continuous integration. Furthermore up-to date result visualization, a good standard in setting up simulation experiments and an in depth knowledge in current MATSim topics will be discussed.

Content

This class is highly based on mutual experimenting / lab work. Please bring your own laptop to work with (we might be able to borrow some devices, if required).

Mostly hands-on sessions with few classical lecture components.

Requirements for participation and examination

Desirable prerequisites for participation in the courses:

Participants must have knowledge in using multi agent transport simulations and be able to work with computers. Before starting the course, you should be able to run an example simulation of MATSim in our IDE. Without this knowledge the participation is not possible.
