Learning Outcomes

Students are able to do a literature research, to summarize the results scientifically, to present and to defend their work.


Results of new research on the field of measurement and diagnostic technology, modeling and simulation are recited in presentations and papers. The main focus lies on vehicle and engine development.

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

At the beginning of the semester the topics are handed out to the students. On the basis of current publications, the state of the art will be worked out, summarized in writing and finally a lecture will be given. Active participation in the seminar. The lectures and written summary are in English.

Desirable prerequisites for participation in the courses:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
