Learning Outcomes

After completing the module, the students have knowledge of problems and practical solutions to controlling multi-joint robot systems. They also have acquired methods to abstract and simplify complex, non-linear problems in the realm of action, perception, and representation, which are the basis for cognitive and intelligent robots.

Content

Concepts, algorithms and application specific aspects of Robotics: kinematics, dynamics, position control, trajectory generation, controller tuning, collision avoidance, visual servoing, probabilistic robotics Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM). Practical implementation on a real time control system.
