Presentations are an important part of our academic and professional lives. They should help to convey knowledge to others, to convince people of something, or to present work results. Some presentations are remembered for a long time as a special experience, some do not arouse the interest of the audience. As a special form of interaction, presentations usually pursue the goal of conveying complex information in a structured and understandable way. In doing so, it is often a question of balancing between precision in content and the desired "aha" effect on the audience. In times of Corona, digital forms of presentation have become further established in addition to the classic form. But whether presenting offline or online, how can complex information be visualized and presented in a comprehensible way? How do you make the best use of the time available to convey the most important content - where conveying means actually getting it across to the audience? So what makes a good presentation that meets the goals of the presenter(s) and, if applicable, the audience? This seminar will answer these questions - through practical presentation exercises, discussion of presentation techniques, and reflection on your own experiences.
