Charles Darwin’s The Origin of Species is one of the few books in the history of science that needs no further introduction. In this seminar, we will be reading and discussing one chapter of the book per week, along with selected secondary literature for contextualization and interpretation. The aim is for the students to learn how to work with and around key sources, and to gain an understanding of the creation of evolutionary theory.
