Content

The module Prototyping Eco-innovation is an interdisciplinary project. Students learn about innovation management in theory and practice. First, the course provides theoretical input sessions about innovation management, project management, Business Model Development, Teaming & Ideation, Rapid Prototyping, presentation techniques and best practice examples of young start-ups. Second, the students will apply this knowledge to a real project and work together with industrial partners. They will develop a prototype in interdisciplinary teams based on a given problem. Finally, the teams hand in a written project report and give an oral presentation on their prototype.

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

The module Prototyping Eco-innovation is an interdisciplinary project, where students learn about innovation management in theory and practice. The course provides theoretical input sessions. This knowledge will be directly applied to projects in practice. The working progress will be documented throughout an interim and a final presentation. The final project report represents another compulsory accompanying document of the complete practical working process with its different working steps.

Test description (Module completion)

The portfolio examination consists of the following elements, adding up to a maximum of 100 credits. The grading follows the joint conversion key of the School of Economics and Management (decision of the school's council dated May 28, 2014 - FKR VII-4/8-28.05.2014).
