Learning Outcomes

Participants will have knowledge on current research developments in the field of Software and Business Engineering. They deepen their understanding of research and common scientic practices in general, as well as in specific research fields like software engineering for enterprise systems, information system engineering, business engineering, business process management, and blockchain in an enterprise context.

Content

A set of current "hot" research and development topics in Software and Business Engineering will be studied based on literature research and, for certain topics, also by conducting hands-on implementation.

Test description (Module completion)

The final marks will comprise a seminar report and the presentation of its results. The seminar includes a peer-review phase where students are asked to review reports of other students. The quality of said reviews will be considered in the respective grade.

The maximum capacity of students is 6.

Registration Procedures

Registration involves topic selection, where at most one student is assigned for each available topic. Topic selection will be organized through ISIS, and will be based on criteria like suitable skills and motivation to work on a given topic.
