• Fundamentals of photocatalysis including reaction steps, events upon excitation, factors affecting
• Photocatalytic materials including properties of a photocatalyst materials, modification of the photocatalyst materials with different techniques
• New photocatalyst material by band gap engineering
• Different characterization methods for studying the physic-chemical properties of photocatalyst materials
• Photoreactors: design aspects, operation parameters and novel photoreactors
• Determine the kinetics, quantum yield and efficiency
• Application of photocatalysis in pollutant degradation (water and liquid phases), self-cleaning, disinfection, water splitting and CO2 reduction.
