Content

The general aim of this subject is give students a state-of-the-art overview of all streams of research around the theme entrepreneurship. The ability to combine product development, market development, and organizational development ensures the competitiveness of high-income countries and its enterprises. Up to date knowledge about how to develop all three aspects in continuously changing environments, therefore, is of vital importance. The course intends to shed light on different aspects from managing and aligning internal and external networks, all facets around founding enterprises, how to explore and develop markets, how to get and exploit creative ideas among more. The course studies both theoretical models and their empirical application, changing between micro and macro-economic perspectives with a strong methodological focus.

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

The course entrepreneurship research is based on introductory lectures into the research topics at TU Berlin. After the students present own research based on a sample of research articles. The presentations are moderated and lead to discussions about the choice of methods, mistakes, learning’s and future research. This course follows an integrative teaching method.

The portfolio examination consists of the following elements, adding up to a maximum of 100 credits. The grading follows the joint conversion key of the School of Economics and Management (decision of the school's council dated May 28, 2014 - FKR VII-4/8-28.05.2014).
