Learning Outcomes

The students of the module "Transport Logistics" gain knowledge in the field of logistics and transport and can independently develop solutions for both theoretical and practical questions concerning transport logistics.

Content

The course "Transport Logistics" provides the basics of transport systems. First, the edges and nodes of logistics systems are viewed at the macro level. Following this introduction, the road, rail, water and air transport systems will be systematically examined with regard to their specific characteristics and requirements, as well as handling concepts and the container and loading equipment used. In order to meet practical relevance and deepen their knowledge of the material, the students work on case studies. The course "Transport Logistics Seminar - Transport Systems in Practice" offers students the opportunity to deepen their theoretical knowledge of transport logistics by means of practical and actual case studies with a focus on worldwide transport markets.
