Content

The module Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship Basics is an integrative course on the basics of entrepreneurship and innovation management. The course focuses on the in-depth understanding of aspects as idea generation, technology-based entrepreneurship, marketing and markets, organization and project management, new product and process development, entrepreneurial finance and human resource development. The students are expected to achieve capabilities to systematically explore the mentioned aspects in group assignments.

Description of Teaching and Learning Methods

The course is based on introductory lectures into the above topics. In addition, the students get presentations from entrepreneurs and visit entrepreneurial venues; companies, incubators, customer etc.The work on group assignments given by entrepreneurs is supported by coaches. Every week is divided into one hour introductory lecture, one hour presentation from practitioners, and one hour work on coached group assignments. In addition there are a number of site visits. This course follows an integrative teaching method.

The portfolio examination consists of the following elements, adding up to a maximum of 100 credits. The grading follows the joint conversion key of the School of Economics and Management (decision of the school's council dated May 28, 2014 - FKR VII-4/8-28.05.2014).
