Test description (Module completion)

In total, 100 points can be attained in the module. * written Test on the lecture content (70 module points) * Essay on a specific lecture topic (10 module points) * four assignments in groups (4*5 module points) Grading key: Dear Students, The education committee and the council of faculty IV require us to provide in advance a grading scheme based on the attained points. This grading scheme may only be adjusted in your favor at the end of the course. Grading Scheme: > 99: 1.0 > 98: 1.3 > 97: 1.7 > 96: 2.0 > 95: 2.3 > 94: 2.7 > 93: 3.0 > 92: 3.3 > 91: 3.7 > 90: 4.0 < 90: 5.0 While we trust that the guidelines where put in good faith, to increase transparency of the grading process, we cannot guarantee that the difficulty of our (changing) exams and exercises is comparable across different semesters. This would be clearly unfair between cohorts of students. To compensate for this variation, we will adjust the restrictive grading scheme at the end of the course in your favor. The distribution of grades will be adjusted to agree with historical data. To give you an impression of our grading, we provide you with the distribution of grades over the years 2009-2013: 1.0 - 1.7: 29% 2.0 - 2.7: 40% 3.0 - 4.0: 13% 5.0: 18%

Duration of the Module

The following number of semesters is estimated for taking and completing the module:
1 Semester.

This module may be commenced in the following semesters:
Sommersemester.

Maximum Number of Participants

The maximum capacity of students is 30.

Registration Procedures

Students have to register their intent until the second lecture to be able to coordinate the group exercises. The exact procedure is announced in the first lecture. Students also need to register according to the Prüfungsordnung. Additional information may be given in the lectures.
